In a recent interview on Larry King with Magic Johnson, Tony Robbins and Google Ceo Eric Schmidt engaged in a conversation about business in the current economy as well as employment issues.

During this conversation Schmidt commented on exactly where FMT believes the true future of growth in small business resides.

Google Ceo Eric Schmidt – “In the case of the autoworker perhaps that autoworker is a fisherman or has – is a fan and all of a sudden could become a blogger and become well known because of his or her expertise. And with that, begin to make money on the side that eventually becomes a good source of revenue. There are opportunities even in our business using the internet.”

The find the example he used of the auto worker fitting because it is a large group of people that are looking for new careers or means of earning an income.  There are many of these folks that are facing some sort of career retraining or perhaps relocation from communities they grew up in to earn a living.

This is where I love to see someone like Mr. Schmidt commenting on the legitimate ways to make money online. There is a ton of stuff out there and many of the truly helpful pieces of information get lumped in with the fly by night, pie in the sky stuff…

If anyone would know about possibilities to make money using the internet I think the CEO of Google would know.

Everyone seems to use that these days so we like to joke about it.

Imagine you are sitting at your computer one day searching for ways to make money online or online home based business ideas and suddenly something happened.

You discovered a way to know what everyone on the internet wants every time they search for something. I mean EVERYTHING that EVERYONE wanted.

What would you do?

Do you know how many people have this information every single day and they either do not know what to do with it or they simply do nothing at all. Yes, this information is readily accessible to anyone that wants to know what everyone wants every time they go to a search engine.

This is how easy it can be to learn one of the best ways to make money online or simply take whatever you would be interested in doing and making money with that.

This is the one fundamental to making money online no matter what you are doing online that everyone must master to become successful. Google tells us this information. All we have to do is learn how to intrepet the information and present the right things in front of these folks.

You want to sell Avon products or any of the other direct sales opportunities like Home & Garden Party, etc.

Google tells you how many people are searching for these types of things as well as how often and exactly what terms they use when they search. Put yourself in front of these people meaning get listed in the search engines under the terms THEY are searching and you will make money online. Sounds simple and is simple once you understand how to apply simple techniques.

You can learn to see what EVERYONE wants EVERYTIME they search for something online as well as how to apply free techniques to make money or start a home based business.

I ask again, What are you going to do with that information once you have it?

We all know by now there are thousands of programs and guides out there that claim all kinds of things when it comes to being able to make money working online or building a online home based business. Why is it that the majority of people that decide to try these programs and guides end up quitting and never making any money at all.

Since my business involves using many of the techniques outlined in some of the legitimate information I always take the time to look at many of this information to see if there are tips or techniques I am not using in my businesses. I have also spent quite a bit of time providing personal mentoring to individuals over the last couple years. The combination of having access to the material and knowing the struggles new people have has led me to a few reasons why people or programs fail.

1. Society of instant results – We have come to expect things to happen right now and when it does not we give up and move on. The programs play a role in this as well. More later….
2. Most programs and guides I have found are put together either with the assumption that people know certain things or leaves things for you to figure out. People want “step by step” not “fill in the blanks”.
3. The hype programs makers use to sell their products. These days there are som many programs promising truly outrageous claims that very few people will ever achieve. This forces the program to get into techniques that a new person is not ready to implement because the merchant has forced themselves into living up to the “fast money” hype.
4. Very few programs or guides provide a true “step by step” for new people. People need a program that tells them exactly where to go and what to do but at the same time explains why they are doing it and what the result will be.
5. People believe a website is the answer to making money online and the truth is a website does absolutely nothing if you do not know how to get people to visit that website. Learn how to get people to visit a website and you can make money online with any type of site you want to make.
6. Additional investment – many programs promise things only for the person to find out there is something missing that you have to buy in order to make the money that was advertised. The $39.99-$99.99 investment suddenly becomes thousands of dollars more for a “Presidents Club” or some other crap like that.

These things are the main reason for putting together Free Money Truth. If you truly want to make money working online and build a long term consistent income then you MUST learn the basic foundation to growing that income.

There are no shortcuts…Let me say that again…THERE ARE NO SHORTCUTS..

I have a few family members that I had been teaching how to use some of the basic techniques to begin making some money online and then be able to teach them some advanced stuff down the road. During the course of working with my brother he constantly had to stop me because I was using words and talking about things he had no clue about.

He said “It sounds like you are speaking a foreign language!”

This was actually the beginning of  the FMT video series. As I started documenting how I had to teach someone completely new I thought about all the new folks I had run across in the business community sites. The same question over and over from new people that told me they were completely lost even though they could “talk the game”.

They did not know how to apply any of the information they learned because they had nothing that said..

Step 1, Step 2, Step 3……and provided information along the way that explains what and why they were performing each step.

The final thing about FMT that I think people appreciate is that I am making no claims of outrageous amounts of money. I make a very nice living and the FMT video series is going to teach how to build the base to grow into an income like I earn and even more. The key for me is to teach in a way that anyone can understand what they are doing and why they are doing it as well as being able to duplicate it.

You WILL have to work to make money working online and you are not going to get rich by tomorrow, next week or next month. What you will be able to do is build a growing income over time that can easily build into a nice full time income.

FMT is for people that want to take the time to learn and apply the information by working to build their income with whatever time they have to dedicate to it.

If you are looking for a job then you need to keep looking for a job. The FMT videos will allow you to build you income while performing your job search BUT it can be a full time source of income that will allow you to not have to work a conventional job IF you are willing to work.

The bottom line with most Make Money Working Online programs is that the failure rate is half the fault of the program creators and half the fault of people with unrealistic expectations. To be more to the point, lazy people that somehow got it in their mind that you can buy some guys program and a pile of money will magically fall in your lap.

I decided to start this blog as a way to communicate with the Free Money Truth members prior to the release of the video release as well as a way to provide additional support, tips and hints for members.

Hopefully it will serve as a reference library of techniques to use along with the video series and help answer questions that may come up over and over with new members of the video series.

Look at it as a “check in” point for information and help to those learning to make money working online.
