Okay, so the video is funny. That is really why I put it up BUT…

I constantly preach to people to stay away from pretty much all of the online related money making stuff you see in infomercials.

Not really because infomercials themselves are scams.

Mainly because the promise does not deliver for a large percentage of people..

Mostly because almost all of them come with hidden back end up-sells that rnage in the thousands of dollars…

There’s a nice surprise after paying 50-100 bucks on what you thought was a complete system..

In a recent interview on Larry King with Magic Johnson, Tony Robbins and Google Ceo Eric Schmidt engaged in a conversation about business in the current economy as well as employment issues.

During this conversation Schmidt commented on exactly where FMT believes the true future of growth in small business resides.

Google Ceo Eric Schmidt – “In the case of the autoworker perhaps that autoworker is a fisherman or has – is a fan and all of a sudden could become a blogger and become well known because of his or her expertise. And with that, begin to make money on the side that eventually becomes a good source of revenue. There are opportunities even in our business using the internet.”

The find the example he used of the auto worker fitting because it is a large group of people that are looking for new careers or means of earning an income.  There are many of these folks that are facing some sort of career retraining or perhaps relocation from communities they grew up in to earn a living.

This is where I love to see someone like Mr. Schmidt commenting on the legitimate ways to make money online. There is a ton of stuff out there and many of the truly helpful pieces of information get lumped in with the fly by night, pie in the sky stuff…

If anyone would know about possibilities to make money using the internet I think the CEO of Google would know.
